Death* Israel C. Chamberlain died at Black Twp., Posey Co., Indiana. 
Person-Note* There is no proof that Israel Chamberlain is the husband of Esther. He seems
likely, however, since he is accounted for in 1838, 1840, 1844 on Censuses and
Tax Lists, then in the 1848 Tax List Esther appears and Israel is gone. I
am presuming that he died prior to 1848, but I have found no record of his
death. Another problem is that on Esther's tombstone it says "Wife of W."
There isn't a "W" Chamberlain in Posey Co., in 1840. Israel, 19 yr. old, son
of W & E is buried beside Esther. Posey Co. Historical Soc. says Esther may be.
