His RAF record shows that he served twice in France and once in North Russia from 20Sep18 to 26Jul19. He was a mechanic (rigger) eventually promoted to Flight Sergeant 1 Sep 1915. He was hospitalised with Flu 17 Oct 1918 ut released 10 days later. had a private Motor Cycle accident in 1920 (?) awarded the three WW1 medals.5
