In politics Mr. Womersley was strongly Liberal, and admitted at the Royal Commission in 1868 'having kept certain voters in tow with the object of preventing them being tampered with by the other side.2' |

Note* | Obituary Delta County Independent Delta, Colorado Thursday 18 May 1967 Lucina Pierson Services for Lucina Bell Pierson, 83, of Olathe were held today, May 18, at 2:30 pm at the Olathe Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev. John Dwiggins and the Rev. Russell Bryant. Burial was in the Delta Cemetery with Montrose Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Pierson died May 15, at the Delta Memorial Hospital. A resident of Colorado for 52 years of her life, she was born in Harrison County, Missouri, and lived at Lamar for 31 years and Olathe for 21. Her parents were George York and Sarah Tull York. She was most active in the Olathe Baptist Church, of which she was a member. She was preceded in death in 1938 by her husband, James Pierson, whom she married May 18, 1902, at Eagleville, [Harrison County] Mo. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Clara) Yockey of Eugene, OR; Mrs. David (Grace) Du Frain of Olathe; five sons, James Pierson, of Uravan, William, Carl, John and Jack Pierson all of Olathe; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Redman (sic-s/b Redburn) and Mrs. Myrtle Mathis, both of Eagleville, Mo; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.1 | |
