First Generation

1. Capt. Potter1 Goff was born March 26, 1779. Potter died November 12, 1845 Elk County, PA,
at 66 years of age.

He married twice. He married Rhoda Nichols October 19, 1797. Rhoda was born March 26, 1779.
Rhoda was the daughter of Jonathan (Sr.) Nichols and Rhoba Martin. Rhoda died September 5, 1834 at 55 years of age.
He married Ann Luce August 14, 1836.

He emigrated, ABT 1820. Point of origin: New York.

Capt. Potter Goff and Ann Luce had the following child:

2 i. Algernon L.2 Goff(6). He married Caddie Pearsol.

Capt. Potter Goff and Rhoda Nichols had the following children:

3 ii. Rhoba (II) Goff was born April 13, 1799. She married Joel Woodworth. Joel died 1846. (See Joel Woodworth for the continuation of this line.)

4 iii. Alma Goff was born February 4, 1801. Alma died December, 1831 Burma, at 30 years of age. She married Eugeno Kinkaid. i0 A missionary and spent most of his career in Burma and India. Reported
by E. Frank Brockway to have visited the James M. Brockway family in Iowa about 1846 after having
been "thirty years in India".

5 iv. Isreal Goff was born March 15, 1803. Isreal died March 28, 1803 at less than one year of age.

6 v. Lydia Goff was born Otesego, NY January 20, 1804. Lydia died January 4, 1853 Orono Twp., Muscatine Co., IA, at 48 years of age. Her body was interred January, 1853 Orono Twp., Muscatine, Co., IA, Brockway Cemetery. She married James Maine Brockway PA, April, 1822.
James was born Broadalbin, Montgomery Co., NY July 15, 1797. James was the son of Consider Brockway and Keziah Ferry. James died March 9, 1874 Orono Twp., Muscatine Co., IA, at 76 years of age. His body was interred March, 1874 Orono Twp., Muscatine Co., IA, Brockway
Cemetery.

7 vi. Edwin Potter (Jr.) Goff was born February 17, 1806. Edwin died ABT 1870 Kansas (?). He married twice. He married Harriet Loomis. He married Catherine Scarlet.

8 vii. Ann Eliza Goff was born July 15, 1811. Ann died September 28, 1830 at 19 years of age.

9 viii. William Goff was born August 15, 1813. William died August 29, 1813 at less than one year of age.

10 ix. Henry Fine Goff was born January 14, 1815. Henry died February, 1817 at 2 years of age.

11 x. John Henry Fine Goff was born August 16, 1817. He married Hannah Gelatt.

12 xi. Emma Albina Goff was born August 16, 1819. She married Judge George Dickenson.

13 xii. Eugeno Goff was born February 26, 1823. Eugeno died 1851 Black River Falls, WI, at 28 years of age. He married Emmiline Jean.
