Census 1841*6 Jun 1841 William Bandey was and Ann Sarah Smith were living in Crawley St Aspley Guise BDF in the first national census in 1841.3 
Note*  William Bandy was 34 years and Ann Bandy was 32 years when they left England for Australia. William was listed as a 'Farm Labourer'. They were both C of E and could both read and write. They sailed from Plymouth on 5 September 1849 on the ship 'Andromache' and arrived at Port Phillip Bay (Point Henry Geelong) on 24 December 1849. The barque 'Andromache' (468 tons - about the same size as 'The Endeavour') under Captain M. Passmore took 110 days for the journey. The cost was £12.14s.10d. per head except for children under 12. The Bandys originally lived at Barrabool Hills near Geelong, but in the 1850's, moved to Waubra (known then as The Springs). In 1873 they then moved to Jeffcott near Donald, Victoria.5
