He was a habberdasher by profession and in 1841 the familywere living at Guildford Place, Clerkenwell, where Farringdon Rd now stands and opposite the Mount Pleasant Sorting Office.
Charles' widow went on to marry a Henry Lewis Rose Royer Summerfield, don't you just love the name, and Mary Ann Cossum jnr. married my great grandfather William Jenkins in 1856. She died in 1873 of TB leaving William a widow with 6 children. He went on to marry my great grandmother in 1874, producing four more children!!!
