George Bandy1

The licence for the Sportsmans Arms which stood at 45 Littleworth was first granted in 1868. The pub ceased operations in 2013 and the building and car park were sold with planning permission to convert into a four-bedroom house plus a second bungalow.

Graham W Bandy advises that his grandfather was fatally injured / contracted pneumonia after being hit by a "bike" on the Wellingborough Rd Northampton, outside St Edmunds Hospital. He had been in the hospital for sometime, and used to take his washing to Les. The interesting facts are that it used to be the "Old Bun" ie the Workhouse, and that I worked there on the stroke unit in the late 1980s as a Nurse.)8,13
